What is Scraping Daddy MCP?
Scraping Daddy MCP is a hosted social media scraping MCP server. Add its URL to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code and sign in with your Scraping Daddy account. There is no API key to paste. Your assistant can then fetch live public data from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, X and 20+ other platforms when you ask.
What does a social media MCP server do?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets a compatible AI assistant discover and call external tools. Scraping Daddy provides tools for retrieving public social data. Your assistant selects tools and creates summaries from the returned results.
Can I use this as a Reddit MCP server?
Yes. Search public Reddit discussions, retrieve posts and comments, and ask your assistant to compare common themes. Request source links and distinguish quoted discussion from the assistant’s interpretation.
How are credits charged?
Discovering platforms, finding endpoints and reading schemas are free. Scraping calls use your SD account’s credits and limits. A single prompt may trigger multiple scraping calls. Check your dashboard for usage.
What if my assistant cannot connect?
Check that it supports remote HTTP MCP and browser authentication. Copy the server URL from the setup panel, authenticate with your SD account, and retry. Available connector features depend on your assistant and its plan.
Can I disconnect an assistant?
Yes. Open Connected Apps in your Scraping Daddy dashboard and disconnect the app. You can reconnect later through the same setup flow.
